The aluminum casting is of good quality and well made. The L shape bracket used to support the PocketWizard TT5/Speedlight combination has a clever curve so as to offset the TT5 therefore ensuring that the speedlight is centered within the ring. The overall quality of the L bracket and mounting support hardware is so-so and the whole design is not super sturdy. After playing with it for a week I decided to dump the idea of using the speedlight and discarded the L bracket in favor of going with a monostrobe...which worked out much better.
